The Classic Mafia is Society game which include only two teams:

Red Team: Civilians(6 cards) and Sheriff(1 card)

Black Team: Mafia(2 cards) and Boss of Mafia (1 card)

Black Team

Every night the Mafia kills one Player of the Red Team. The first goal of the Mafia is that nobody can know who the Mafia is. If the player was banished by Town the player doesn't need to reveal his role.

The Second goal of the Mafia is to find the Sheriff and kill him. Without the Sheriff the Town is weak and the Mafia can easily kill the rest of the players.

The third goal and condition of winning is to kill as many Citizens as possible..

Red Team

Every end of the Light Day Citizens Banish one member.

But Citizens can know the role of the player only when the game has finished. The Red Team has to be careful and think a lot about whom they are going to banish.

Conditions of winning

When does the Black Team win?

The Black Team wins when the number of members of the Black Team is equal to the number of members of The Red Team.

When does The Red Team win?

The red team wins when they have eliminated all the black team players.

Game Process

The host invites members to the game and says: “Night in Town” All players wear masks.

If The Moderator says “Night in the Town” nobody can talk or say something. The Moderator must eliminate the player from the game if somebody talks during the Night.

The host gives people an individual role. It can be Civilian, Mafia, Boss of Mafia or Sheriff.

The Moderator says the number of the player and the player must take off the mask.

The player shows a number from 1 to 10 by fingers. The Moderator counts cards and shows the number of cards to the player. If a role of player is “Civilian”, The host shows this sign:

If the player’s role is Sheriff, the Moderator shows this sign:

If the role of a player is Boss of Mafia, The Moderator shows this sign:

The First Night

When The Moderator gives all cards for every member The Moderator says “Night in The Town”. When the Moderator has checked that all members of the game sleep properly the Moderator says “Mafia wakes up”.

Players whom The Moderator gave Mafia cards or The Boss Mafia card to must take off the mask.

The Black Team wakes up together only once. The Mafia and Boss of Mafia never wake up together more than one night.

The first night is called “Welcome night”. During the ‘Welcome Night’ The members of the Black Team get to know each other and The Boss of the Mafia Identifies himself showing this sign:

During this time, The Boss of Mafia must find the method how to deliver information to his/her teammeates without any noises. As we said before, The Mafia wakes up only once per game. In the Next nights, Mafia players will pull out their guns by extending their arms with two fingers extended (Middle and Index finger). Referee will call every player's number and the Mafia pulls the trigger exactly when the number they want to kill is called. If all mafia players shoot at the same time/the same player, that player is killed. Else the mafia was not successful.

Mafia Kills a player without removing masks!

The next nights Boss will wake up separately and try to find the Sheriff. The Sheriff also will wake up separately alone and will try to find the Mafia asking the Moderator the numbers of the players.

During the First night The Moderator can ask The Sheriff to wake up separately in order to understand that The Sheriff knows what his role is. The Sheriff has to do it silently.

When the Moderator says that he has understood who the Sheriff is and the Sheriff can go to sleep, The Sheriff must wear the mask.

The First Round

The Moderator switches off the music and declares that it is Day in the Town. Every player has 1 minute to say his speech and every player can Put any player to the vote. If a player wants to put to the vote another player, the player must say “I put to the vote the number “(say number of the player)”and put his/her fist on the table.

Penalty

If a player interrupts another player who has the right to speak, the interrupting player will incur a penalty. When a player accumulates three penalties for interrupting, they will lose their privilege to speak during their turn. However, if a player continues to receive penalties and reaches a total of four, they will be required to leave the game.

Elimination

In the End of the Day when the last player says his speech The Moderator declares the eliminating process. The Moderator has the list of the players who were put on the vote. The Moderator says the number of the player one by one. If the member of the Town wants to vote against the number which The Moderator says, The Member must put his fist on the desk and the player mustn’t take his fist off the desk before the Moderator says “Thank you”.

If the player doesn't want to vote, his vote counts for the last player who was selected for elimination during the Day.

The Moderator counts all votes and declares the number of the player who has the most votes. This player was eliminated by Town and can say his last speech.

When the player says the last speech he leaves the game and waits silently until the end of the game.

When you are out you can't talk or give tips for players. If the Moderator notices that a player who is out of the game gives tips for players who are playing, The Moderator must stop the game and give the winning points to the opposite team.

When the player leaves the game by voting and says his final speech the Moderator declares Night in the Town. All players must wear masks.

The Second Night

When The Moderator checks that all players sleep properly. As we mentioned before, During the first night, The Boss of Mafia must find the method how to deliver information to his/her teammeates. The Black team pulls out their guns by extending their arms with two fingers extended (Middle and Index finger). Referee will call every player's number and the Mafia pulls the trigger exactly when the number they want to kill is called. If all mafia players shoot at the same time/the same player, that player is killed. Else the mafia was not successful.

The Black team kills a player pulling trigger together:

When the Boss of the Mafia has information about the player the Boss of the Mafia goes to sleep.

When the Moderator checks that all players sleep properly, The Moderator asks the Sheriff to wake up. The Sheriff shows the number of a player and The Moderator shows the role of the player by sign.

If the player is Mafia the Moderator shows this sign:

If a role of player is “Civilian”, The host shows this sign:

The Main goals of the Sheriff are:

to find Mafia
Give the Town information about who The Sheriff checked During the Nights.
Save his role inside the game as much as possible.

Tips for the Sheriff and Citizens

The Sheriff is the head of the Red Team and the Citizens are weak without him.

If the Sheriff puts it to the vote The Sheriff has to say that He is The Sheriff and save his role.

Ofcourse Mafia will kill the Sheriff but The Sheriff will have one more night to check the role of

some players.

The Citizens have to trust the Sheriff and do what he says.

Another situation is if the Mafia pretends to be a Sheriff. The Citizens should find out the truth and kick out one of the Sheriffs.

Second Day, Third day...

The Second Day starts when the Moderator switches off the music and declares that one of the players was killed or was not killed by the Mafia. If the Black team pulls the trigger exactly together, The player who was killed says his last speech and leaves the game. This day starts player number two and the final speech of the day says player number one.

All processes reaped again and once the Town will have a situation when all mafia leave out the game and Citizens win or opposite situation when The numbers of Mafias will equal the numbers of citizens. In that situation the Mafia wins.
